The healing touch of Reiki is incredible and the easiest way to help in any situation.  This treatment can never cause harm.  Your ability to do Reiki will never go away once attuned.  Reiki is NOT an alternative medicine.  It is a complimentary component to your current medical treatment.    


                                                             

Usui Reiki means "Universal Life Energy" and was first discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui who was born in Japan in the late 1800's.  His discovery took place while pondering the question, "what is the meaning of life?"  Dr. Usui decided to go on a 21 day fast and climb Mt. Karuma, where he was enlightened with Reiki. He passed on this gift through a  "ReiJu" or attunement process that is done by a Reiki Teacher.  This process allows you to channel "Life Energy" which then can be used to help yourself and others. 

Whether you are just curious, or on a mission to help yourself heal from an injury, surgery, or illness, I would love to help you learn how Reiki can assist you. 

As soon as I became attuned to the Reiki energy it became more than a tool to use, it became a way of life.  These are principals adopted by Dr. Usui:

• Be Grateful 

This way of living helps you create a more positive, stress-free reality, because these principles only ask of you to practice them "just for today".   You do not need to commit to any life long changes.   You only need to live in the present, therefore simplfying your life. 

Reiki is a Gift  that is given to yourself through taking a class.  This gift will be something you will have for your entire life to help you on your journey.  It would be my pleasure to share this gift with you.  How empowering will it be to know that at anytime you can instantly help anyone in need,  including yourself. 

What I Do

I originally learned Usui Reiki in July 2007 when my father was battling pancreatic cancer.  My father loved Reiki.  I knew that I could not sit by on the sidelines and not help.  Reiki allowed me to be involved with his treatment instead of being a bystander. My sessions allowed my dad to sleep better, lessened his pain, nurtured him during his chemotherapy, and helped lessened his nausea. 

I have since gone on to become a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher.  These tools have helped me grow and to learn amazing life lessons.  My greatest sense of accomplishment comes from volunteering at the Respite House, Hospitals, and at charity events.  Sharing the gift of Reiki is something I enjoy and feel my clients benefit from greatly.  This work has been very rewarding for me.  I also am available for private Reiki sessions and teach Usui Reiki classes upon request.
